Administration for
R&D and Training (organizational structure)
The ORT Administration for R&D and Training seeks to improve
pedagogical services and performance in order to raise the level of teaching and
learning in the ORT schools. The activities of the Goralnik Institute for the
enhancement of teaching and learning and theMoshinsky
Center for R&D, we work
on the development and implementation of innovative curricula, design and
application of systemic projects and the execution of special intervention
programs.
ORT’s systemic pedagogical projects are noted for their innovation
and include a variety of unique teaching methodologies in mathematics, English
Hebrew language, science, technology, and
ICT.
The main goals of this administration are to supplement and
improve the students’ basic skills, to contribute to the bridging of gaps
between different student populations and to raise the level of achievement and
eligibility for a matriculation certificate. There is proven success in the
attainment of the predetermined goals and aims in these projects, some of which
have been accompanied by external academic evaluation.

for Education and Operations
The Administration for Education and Operations is in charge of
all ongoing school activities, including the preparation of the operational
budget. It is an active partner in the formulation of ORT Israel’s
educational policy. Its aim is to promote and enhance the educational activities
in the schools and to strengthen the status within the community. The regional
managers represent the network’s policies vis-à-vis the schools and their staff,
while at the same time they assist schools in their liaison with the ORT
administration. The regional managers help solve problems and provide a response
to the needs of the clients with regard to the absorption of new schools into
the network. The department for value-laden education focuses on social and
cultural education in the schools and helps with network and inter-regional
activities and with events aiming to increase identification with the network
such as principals’ conferences and education prizes.

for Purchasing and Assets
The Administration for Purchasing and Assets is responsible for
all procurement within the network. It provides services, assists and advises in
substantive areas and is a professional knowledge resource for construction,
maintenance and information systems.
